What is the Weaver Pledge?
The Weaver Pledge is statement that people in Lancaster County have more things in common than things that divide us. That we are committed to being part of ways to make that belief more visible and real for everyday Lancastrians. It’s a way of showing that there are way more people who want to work together than national narratives want us to believe, and more importantly, that we are willing to join with our neighbors to prove it.
The Weaver Pledge is a first step towards proving the national narratives wrong. It’s a petition that’s all about:
Respecting our shared humanity
Believing we have more in common than we don’t, and that everyone has value to add
Demonstrating that our sense of place is more important than our political party
Taking next steps together to build more community connection across Lancaster County
Sound basic? That’s because it is.

We believe that we can use our shared sense of place in Lancaster Country to cut through partisanship, but we need to show it.
We believe that there are more of us out there, but we need to prove it.
